Alan B. Albarran is a Full Professor and former Chair of the Department of Media Arts at the University of North Texas, in Denton, Texas, USA. He has authored/edited 14 books including The Media Economy, 2nd ed. (forthcoming), Management of Electronic Media, 6th ed. (2017), and The Social Media Industries (2013). In addition, he has published numerous articles in scholarly journals and chapters in edited volumes. Dr. Albarran also served as Editor of The International Journal on Media Management (2006-2008) and Editor of The Journal of Media Economics (1997-2005).
