Dr. C. Ann Hollifield is Professor Emerita at the University of Georgia. In 2006, she founded a graduate certificate program in Media Analytics in the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at UGA, one of the first formal university programs in media analytics in the U.S. During her academic career, her research focused on media economics and management, particularly as they affect news media sustainability. Since 2014, she has worked as a Senior Research Consultant to a major international media development NGO on a variety of international news media viability projects. Prior to her academic career, Hollifield was both a journalist and executive in the television and newspaper industries, specializing in business and financial journalism.
